Katja Herbers is daughters of violinist Vera Beths and oboist Werner Herbers. When she was a child Herbers traveled with her mother in America for a tour with the chamber music ensemble L'Archibudelli. Both of her parents were married, and her mother was to the cellist Anner bylsma. They brought her into the theater world.
